Aaron wrote recently to let me know about his site Simply Arbors. His company carries some gorgeous products including arbors, of course, but also arbor accessories such as benches, gates and planters. They also offer several trellises to suit your style.

I also recently came across Composters.com while preparing an article about composting. This site offers many products to help conserve our environment. Not only do they carry composters, they also have rain barrels, lawn mowers, and biodegradeable pet waste items - something near and dear to my heart. I also have my eye on one of their chipper/shredders.

How cool is this! This company wrote to tell me about their nesting boxes. The boxes are colorful and designed to suit all different bird species. If you like sundials, visit David Harber Sundials. It's a very interesting site with some beautiful sundials. With the arrival of the long, warm days of summer comes swimming and lounging around the pool. I don't know about you, but when I'm lying in the sun I enjoy reading. But the hard part is I need sunglasses and am farsighted. What's a book/sun lover to do? Weeding glasses! Yep - weeding glasses. Kingcord Hammocks

We've been searching for a hammock now that we have finally started building our backyard oasis. As luck would have it, Kingcord Hammocks contacted me and asked if I would provide a link to their site. I've been reviewing their product offerings and must say I am impressed. They offer a nice variety of hammocks including rope, Mayan and fabric as well as hammock kits. That's a great idea - the price is half what it is to order the assembled product and it sounds like it would be a fun project. I'm thinking of getting one of the kits myself - just can't decide on the color. They even have a great return policy - send it back within 30 days if you don't like it and the most it will cost you is shipping and a small return fee - the return fee is due to US Customs Brokerage duties. My dad loves rain gauges - so much in fact that he has two in his front yard. He has a snail and a frog trio, and really enjoys going outside after it rains ro measure the amount of rainfall. I'm always pleased when someone requests a link so went to visit Chris's site the same day, and I'm glad I did. Gift and Gift Ideas carries some unique figurines and water fountains. With the interest in outdoor living spaces, many of these sculptures and collectibles will really jazz things up. Chris also has another site, Global Discount Products. Bug Off Instant Screen

It's not exactly a garden accessory, but essential to outdoor enjoyment. Bug Off Instant Screen allows you to have a screen where you previously could not. My husband found this product when we were thinking of installing outswing french doors. Outswings don't come with a screen, so this appears to make a great alternative. This screen opens in the middle to allow you to go in and out without struggling with a regular screen door. According to the manufacturer it "closes perfectly every time". If you're looking for a screen door, check it out.

I received an email the other day from Aaron telling me about his website and requesting a link. I immediately went to visit and was impressed with what I saw. Aaron sells rain barrels that are made from recycled plastic and include a gutter down spout tube as well as an overflow valve to connect your garden hose. Now that we have our patio poured, my husband and I have been discussing what we'll do with all the space. One of the things we've talked about is adding a hammock. I was reading the latest edition of Better Homes and Gardens and came across some really different bird feeders. I particularly like the Dragonfly Feeder. It's made of cast aluminum with a shallow bowl and a dragonfly perched on its edge. BHG also offers a teacup feeder with a hand-painted dragonfly. What a great way to invite birds to visit your garden.
